It is recommended that every 5 years, a watch undergoes an overhaul/ service. A complete disassembly of the watch, re-oiling of the parts, timing adjustment and pressure testing (if applicable) should be completed.
Mechanical watches include automatic and manual wind watches. For the watch to work properly, every moving part is oiled to ensure that friction does not cause the parts to wear away. The oil eventually dries up and the moving parts can cause internal damage to the watch mechanics.
Once an overhaul is complete, a one-year warranty is included.
It is not uncommon for crystals (the glass that covers the top of the watch) to become scratched or cracked. They are often constructed of glass or plastic and aren’t as durable as the rest of the watch. Sometimes the scratches on a crystal can be polished away but, in most cases, replacement is necessary. Once polished or replaced, the fine details and design of the dial will be visible.
We replace crystals with the proper crystal (i.e., Rolex crystal will be used to replace your rolex crystal).
A watch case (the framing around the crystal) and bracelet will show signs of wear over time. This can range from scratches on the metal, plating wearing away, or a broken leather strap. Most watch cases can be refinished.
In order to receive an estimate the watch must be dropped off in person/ mailed in. We will not offer estimates without having the physical watch. The estimate will include the service, part replacements as well as any refinishing.
